Coming from that part of the world, it really hits me in the heart. Some folks will criticize that or roll their eyes. But that doesn't matter to me.

People who don't know Cathy or who aren't familiar with her ask me all the time why I'm so much in her corner. And the answer is simple. She's a product of the very attitude that you see in that commercial.

Being a Republican, I just want to weigh in on one issue. You guys have to get rid of that Cynthia McKinnney. I liken this paragraph to a pause in a long, drawn out battle between our two parties. It's time to clear the wounded and in her case, dying, off the battlefield. To follow and support her any further simply weakens your cause. At some point, even the defense attorneys pulled out on Clinton...you should too?

While I certainly realize we have plenty of "whacks" in our stable, you have to admit she is your worst nightmare. She is the type that will marginalize your efforts. Perhaps you should look to more Sam Nunn's and less McKinney's and Hillary's next time. Who knows, you might get some of us Republican swing voters and isn't that what you really need?

By the way, Catchy Cox is a good one. She seems balanced, sincere, and positive. There you have it, from a Republican no less....No issues with her.

Believe it or not, some of us do look for good candidates on both sides of the aisle.

Good luck in the elections.

You'll note that Cynthia has drawn credible opposition in her district. And thanks, yes, at the end of the day, many of us, dems and repubs really just want good government.

As someone who is a supporter of Cynthia and Cathy, I am offended by the comments that Cynthia is a nut job, she isn't. When nobody else had the courage to stand up to Bush and demand to know what he should have known on 9/11, she did. She paid the price for that by losing her seat. When it was time to support redeployment of our troops in Iraq, she was there again. People agree with her positions when it is all said and done. Sometimes they also fall for the media demonization of Cynthia as unbalanced without hearing or seeing the whole picture.

As for Cathy, I think she will be a fabulous Governor because she is a moderate that will persue common sense solutions for Georgia.
