I thought this got resolved last week as we sorted through the whole Staton email flap, but no. I'm hearing that the Bibb County Republican Party has made an official request of the City of Macon for extra security for their downtown election night party. If the election goes like I think it might, a DUI task force might make sense, but extra security?
I have three questions.
1) Really?? Is this really true?
2) If so, what, exactly, are they afraid of?
3) Could I get extra security in Rivoli Downs to check out who stole our Obama sign tonight?

Waaaaaaaaaahahahahahahaaaaaaaaa!
You have GOT to be kidding me??? Do they seriously believe an angry mob will pen them up at the Armory and, I dunno, spitball the place?
If it goes like I hope, folks will be too busy celebrating to foam much over a bunch of Republicans drowning their sorrows. Or else SuperShepherd can protect them all with his superior Law Enforcement Powers.

PS - I have a spare Obama sign in my garage - you can have it if you need a replacement!
I used my Obama sign to line my kitty litter box. He's full of $hit and so it fits well.
It isn't about fear.
It's about intimidation to people who don't like police or who don't want to be caught by police.
Wait...it is about fear.
It's about them being afraid that their party isn't going to win and that people will celebrate a moment in history.
My hubby and I were talking about this the other day and he said that he hopes that Obama will reference the 'fear' in his acceptance speech. We want him to direct people to be civil and not destructive and celebrate the winning moment and recognize it as a turning point in the history of this country. There are a LOT of people just poised and waiting to provoke so there will be something to promote/report. I don't want people to give in to that....no matter what the color of their skin or political preference.
To worthless democrat....
you do realize how silly you sound right?
Here's a bit of crumbs for the troll.
They remind me of the bullies at school who ran away when confronted. And, WD, you might want to consider therapy to deal with all that anger. What miserable way to live.
I believe that "worthless democrat" is actually a congressman representing Savannah and the southeastern part of the state.
