We can bring a change to this country, and, with your help, we will. You don't have to be a political expert or have lots of time to have an impact. You just need to believe in the importance of women's issues and commit to bringing them to the forefront of our national debate.

Looks Like a Rough Landing
This weekend, I'm in the Georgia mountains. It's perfectly beautiful here, but, even though I knew about the drought, somehow seeing the empty river and lakes was shocking. The pictures below are of the Hiawassee River in Towns County. You can see the dry docks, the highway bridge over mud and the "water" slide to nowhere. Shocking is really the only word that fits. I wanted you to see this:


Saw about the same stuff up in Dahlonega this weekend at Hemlock Fest. Folks were poling canoes across a pond rather than paddling; it was sobering to say the least.
