After looking at the FEC letter to Chambliss about possible excess contributions, and noticing the timely tobacco contribution in September, I wondered how much he takes from Big Tobacco. According to http://www.tobaccofreeaction.org/ , from 1997 through August 7, 2007, $80,500.00, and that would not have included the $5,000 September contribution from Swisher. That's WAY more than anyone else in the Georgia delegation, about three times more than Johnny Isakson. In fact, it's one of the biggest hauls in the entire U.S. Senate. View the statistics, here.
